Adair Meira

Mr. Adair Meira is a businessman, social entrepreneur and militant of the environmental cause since 1994, when he created FundaÃ§ao PrÃ³-Cerrado, in Brazil. His experience includes several years as Secretary Director of FundaÃ§ao PrÃ³-Cerrado, as well as member of the board of several non-governmental institutions and of foundations such as Avina, Ashoka and Schwab Foundation, which encourage sustainable development worldwide. He was also a pioneer in environmental demonstrations as well as coordinator of the 1st National Environmental Education Conference held in Brasilia in 1997. Mr. Adair currently maintains and promotes several national social-educational and environmental programs for young people in social risk.
